• Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and design principles to support infrastructure projects • Perform field investigations, site inspections, and construction support activities • Assist with engineering reports, permitting efforts, and project documentation • Support the planning and design of water resources and water/wastewater infrastructure projects • Perform engineering calculations and assist with technical analyses • Review construction drawings and project specifications • Coordinate with contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies • Work closely with project managers and senior engineers while developing your technical and professional skills What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering • 0-3 years of professional engineering experience (internships and co-ops welcome) • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn • Engineer Intern (EI) certification or ability to obtain EI certification Preferred Qualifications
• Internship, co-op, or project experience related to civil engineering • Interest in water resources, municipal infrastructure, or water/wastewater engineering • Desire to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure Prior water/wastewater experience is not required. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.58 - $36.54/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
