Job Title: Construction AdministratorJob DescriptionThis role offers an opportunity for an experienced Construction Administrator to serve as the onsite representative for a high-profile project in East Boston within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. You will support a well-established architecture and building envelope firm by overseeing project progress in the field, ensuring work aligns with design intent, and maintaining thorough documentation to support successful project delivery. Working closely with a Senior Construction Administrator, you will play a key role in bridging field operations and project documentation while maintaining clear communication with the broader project team. Responsibilities • Serve as the onsite representative for a high-profile construction project in East Boston, acting as a key point of contact for field activities. • Track project progress through daily reporting, ensuring that all work completed on site is accurately documented and aligned with project milestones. • Maintain thorough site documentation, including written reports, field notes, and organized records of construction activities. • Create and manage photo logs of site conditions and work progress to support project tracking and reporting. • Partner closely with the Senior Construction Administrator to ensure seamless communication between the field and the broader project team. • Interpret and review construction documents, drawings, specifications, and project plans to verify that work is being completed in accordance with design intent. • Observe site conditions and construction activities to identify potential issues, deviations, or risks related to design, quality, or coordination. • Document findings from site visits and field observations, and communicate clear, concise updates to the project team. • Balance time between field observations and project documentation to support accurate and timely project execution. • Identify issues or concerns within the established scope of work and escalate them appropriately when necessary. • Support coordination of field operations and job site activities by referencing construction documents and design information. • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to help ensure alignment between design intent and field execution. Essential Skills • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting projects within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. • Prior experience working in a construction administration phase with a solid understanding of field operations, construction processes, and job site coordination. • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering. • Ability to interpret and review construction documents, drawings, specifications, and project plans. • Proficiency in construction administration practices, including documentation, reporting, and communication. • Experience working with construction documents and architectural drawings to verify compliance with design intent. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to observe site conditions and accurately document findings. • Ability to work independently within an established scope of work while managing time effectively in a field-based role. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey project updates and findings to the broader team. • Capability to track project progress and maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and photo logs. • Experience with project coordination in an architectural or construction environment. • Familiarity with design and documentation tools such as Revit. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Background in architecture, construction administration, or building envelope projects. • Experience working within a well-established architecture or building envelope firm is beneficial. • Comfort working on high-profile projects with multiple stakeholders. • Ability to effectively escalate concerns and issues when necessary to support risk management and problem resolution. • Strong organizational skills for managing documentation, photo logs, and project records. • Interest in working closely with Senior construction administration professionals to develop expertise in the field. • Proactive mindset with a focus on maintaining quality and alignment with design intent throughout construction. Work EnvironmentThis role is 100% onsite at a project location in East Boston. You will work directly on the construction site, regularly observing field conditions and interacting with construction teams and project stakeholders. The environment is field-based and fast-paced, requiring regular movement around the job site and consistent presence during active construction activities. You will use tools such as construction documents, drawings, specifications, and digital platforms for reporting, documentation, and photo logging. The position supports a well-established architecture and building envelope firm on a high-profile project, offering exposure to complex design and construction processes in a collaborative, professional setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
