Job Title: Pollen Collection Technician / Labor TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Pollen Collection Technician is responsible for safely collecting pollen and plant materials from designated field locations while maintaining high quality standards. This role requires strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all applicable quality and safety guidelines. The technician accurately documents all activities, operates and maintains field collection equipment, and supports drying and processing of collected materials in a physically demanding outdoor environment.Responsibilities
• Collect pollen and plant materials from designated field locations in accordance with established procedures. • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements at all times. • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and product labeling for all collection activities. • Operate and maintain collection equipment, including ensuring tools and machinery are in safe working condition. • Use clippers, chainsaws, and other field tools safely and effectively during collection activities. • Assist with bucket truck operations and the use of climbing equipment as needed to access collection sites. • Identify plant species and appropriate collection targets in the field to ensure proper sampling. • Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, and work areas to support safe and efficient operations. • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety guidelines at all times. • Assist with drying and processing of collected specimens according to quality and safety standards. • Perform specimen collection, labeling, and handling with strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. • Contribute to a safe work environment by reporting hazards, following safety protocols, and participating in safety-focused practices. • Travel periodically to various collection sites as required by operational needs. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Previous experience in landscaping, forestry, tree trimming, agriculture, grounds maintenance, construction, utility vegetation management, or other outdoor labor roles is preferred. • Experience identifying plants, trees, or vegetation is a plus. • Prior GMP, quality control, or regulated manufacturing experience is beneficial but not required. Work EnvironmentThis role is based primarily in an outdoor work environment with frequent exposure to hot, cold, and changing weather conditions. The position involves regular walking, standing, bending, lifting, and other physically demanding activities throughout the day. Team members wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and additional safety equipment as required by specific tasks. The role requires regular use of chainsaws, clippers, bucket trucks, climbing equipment, and specialized collection equipment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Luther, OK. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
