About this role

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our Global High Tech (GHT) team.

In this role, you will support the development and delivery of industrial water and wastewater treatment solutions for strategic Global High Tech customers. You will combine process design, technical proposal development and project support activities, working closely with commercial, engineering, operations and customer teams throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will contribute to solution development, project qualification, proposal preparation, commissioning support and operational improvement initiatives, helping deliver reliable, sustainable and cost-effective water treatment systems.

How you'll make an impact:

• Support the development of Global High Tech opportunities by partnering with Senior Design Engineers and commercial teams to design water and wastewater treatment solutions for industrial customers. • Develop mass balances, process flow diagrams, water mapping studies and technical documentation to support project development and customer discussions. • Prepare technical proposals, equipment selections and CAPEX/OPEX estimates that align with customer requirements and business objectives. • Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, supporting project execution, commissioning and start-up activities. • Collaborate with project managers, suppliers and engineering teams to ensure technical requirements are successfully translated into project delivery. • Conduct site surveys and evaluate customer operations to identify technical needs and develop fit-for-purpose treatment solutions. • Analyze water and wastewater systems from process, operational and mechanical perspectives and recommend solutions that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements. • Support existing O&M contracts through troubleshooting, diagnostics and continuous improvement initiatives. • Build strong relationships with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders while providing technical guidance and support. • Apply sound engineering judgment and financial awareness to help prioritize opportunities and identify the best balance between CAPEX and OPEX performance.

Qualifications:

• Education: Chemical / Environmental / Mechanical Engineering Degree

• Minimum 3 years experience with the design and supporting the sale of water and/or wastewater equipment and systems, including clarification, filtration, membrane separation, RO/UF, DAF, solids separation, metals, removal and biological, to industrial clients. • Experience preparing process calculations, mass balances and process flow diagrams. • Communication skills: English & French/Spanish fluent written and verbal • People relating attitude and capable to work in team

• Able to manage conflict and job-related pressure

• Problem-solving skills

• Ability and willingness to travel 15% of time to perform proper discovery and developing the cost basis for each project and present proposed solutions.

• High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office suite, and ability to learn business systems).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting industrial project execution, commissioning or start-up activities. • Familiarity with water treatment plant commissioning and operational support. • Experience working in operation and maintenance (O&M) environments. • Knowledge of engineering documentation, including P&IDs, General Arrangement drawings, isometric sketches and equipment datasheets. • Experience using AutoCAD. • Familiarity with international engineering standards, equipment certification requirements and applicable environmental and safety regulations. • Experience supporting customers within High Tech, electronics, semiconductor, manufacturing or similar industrial sectors.
