Job Description: Position Summary: Under general direction of the Nurse Supervisor, with latitude for independent judgment, the Registered Nurse is responsible for efficient, safe and timely patient care for General Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. Using professional development and clinical competency the RN will utilize the nursing process to evaluate the care provided to surgical patients. Salary Range: $34.01 - $39.43 an hour
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Job Requirements: Qualifications: • Education: Fulfilled the educational requirements to be a licensed Nurse in NYS; BSN preferred. • Experience: Previous work in an ambulatory setting. • License/Certification Required: Current New York State RN license; CPR Certification required • Skills (to include equipment, software, etc.). Outstanding organizational and time management skills. Critical thinker and problem solver with the ability to generate professional, clear written communications appropriate for the intended audience. Able to use various computer systems and software programs including a practice appointment scheduling system, Excel and Word. EPIC experience preferred.
Population Served: Works with patients from adolescence through advanced age.
