Test Lead
Job description: Primary Skills • Deep expertise in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) for test automation, enabling efficient design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Rest-Assured). • Strong understanding of automated test framework architecture, including its components for UI, API, and integration testing, and unique features like parallel execution and reporting within CI/CD environments. • Proficiency in designing, building, and managing scalable and maintainable automated testing solutions, specifically integrating these tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide continuous feedback on software quality. • Advanced skills in API testing and relevant tools/frameworks (e.g., Postman, Rest-Assured), including implementing automated checks for functionality, reliability, performance, and security of APIs within the automated test suites. • Ability to collaborate effectively with development teams, translating software features and requirements into comprehensive automated test cases and communicating test results and quality metrics to stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • Proficiency in creating and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases (both automated and manual) beyond specific framework implementations. • General hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining test automation for various application types (web, mobile, backend services), including those supporting complex business logic and workflows. • Solid understanding of general software testing principles, methodologies (functional, regression, UI, integration, performance, security, etc.), and best practices outside the context of a single project or toolset. • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing test code and collaborating with development teams. • Broader ability to contribute to the overall software development lifecycle by identifying areas for quality improvement and advocating for testing best practices. • Experience with performance and load testing design, execution, and analysis using relevant tools. • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex test failures and identify root causes of software defects. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively within agile teams and with various stakeholders on quality initiatives.
