Learn more at www.adm.com The Role An opportunity has arisen within the ADM Investor Services business for a Network & Voice Engineer, based in the City of London. The role will report to the UK Infrastructure Manager, working locally with the business & IT team and globally as part of the Global Infrastructure team. The Network & Voice Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the firm’s network, data, voice, and unified communications infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of network and voice systems while providing technical expertise for new projects, upgrades, and troubleshooting complex issues.
Your Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this role will include:
Network Engineering & Support: • Design, configure, and maintain but not limited to LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure. • Manage routing, switching, and firewall configurations (Cisco). • Monitor network performance, capacity, and security using tools such as SolarWinds, or similar. • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and performance issues. • Implement network security best practices • Collaborate with vendors and ISPs to ensure reliable connectivity and timely issue resolution. • Manage and maintain network connectivity between vendors/sites/ISP for current and future connectivity. Voice Engineering & Support: • Design, configure, and maintain Voice Phone systems, including but not limited to call queues, extensions, call routing, call recording • Manage integrations between Voice Phone systems and PSTN providers, including but not limited to SIP trunks and Session Border Controllers (SBCs) • Support provisioning and number management (DIDs, porting, and user assignments). • Maintain and troubleshoot Phone appliances, IP phones, Mobile Voice Apps • Ensure compliance with voice security, privacy, and regulatory requirements General / Cross-Functional: • Participate in network and voice architecture planning, capacity forecasting, and documentation. • Ensure compliance with IT security policies, data protection standards, and industry regulations. • Provide tier-3 support for escalated network and voice incidents. • Maintain accurate documentation of network topology, configurations, and changes. • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning related to voice and network systems. • Assist in the development of policies and best practices for unified communications. • Participate in technology roadmaps, upgrades, and optimization initiatives. • Participate in out-of-hours work as required by the role.
: Your Profile
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience. • Cisco certification (CCNA or CCNP preferred) with a strong, practical understanding of network technologies. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate across all levels of the organisation. Desirable Qualifications • Cisco CCIE certification. • Proficiency with BGP, OSPF, Multicast, VPN, Cisco Routers, Switches, FTD, Wireless LAN Controllers, and Access Points. • Experience with VoIP technologies. • Scripting and automation experience (Python, Ansible, or similar). • Prior experience in the financial services industry.
