Area Manager -FA&I, Dairy
Job Description: The Area Sales Manager – Dairy & Swine will drive revenue growth and market share expansion for ADM India’s premium dairy and swine feed additives and ingredients portfolio within the assigned territory. This high-impact role focuses on capturing new business, optimizing existing accounts, and building a robust product portfolio aligned with ADM’s strategic margin targets. The ideal candidate will combine deep B2B sales expertise and a robust network of feed millers and large-scale commercial farms with the technical and marketing acumen required to lead product positioning, pricing, and brand equity in the region.
Your Responsibilities
Sales & Strategic Growth • Deliver commercial targets: Achieve defined sales, marketing, and margin budgets in alignment with ADM management objectives. • Execute GTM strategy: Own and execute the Go-To-Market strategy for the dairy business, including product positioning, pricing models, and new product launches for targeted customer segments. • Expand market share: Formulate and implement territory-specific sales strategies to boost ADM’s market presence and competitive edge. Partner & Key Account Management • Optimize distribution networks: Identify, appoint, and onboard new distributors and sub-dealers while strengthening relationships with existing partners. • Support channel partners: Lead joint customer visits, provide technical/marketing enablement, and negotiate commercial terms within approved budget guidelines. • Grow strategic accounts: Manage and scale high-value key accounts in coordination with regional technical and product management teams. Market Intelligence & Brand Alignment • Deliver market insights: Gather and analyze deep market intelligence, competitor activity, and industry trends to continuously refine sales and marketing strategies. • Drive brand awareness: Partner with regional marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns, advertisements, industry seminars, and trade events. • Collaborate globally: Align with local, regional, and global Commercial Development & Deployment (CD&D) and Marketing teams to implement broader corporate strategies locally. Operational Excellence • Manage budgets: Plan monthly travel schedules proactively, ensuring strict optimization of travel costs against sales performance. • Report performance: Submit timely, detailed reports on customer visits, market outcomes, and territory performance to the reporting manager.
Your Profile
• Education: B.V.Sc & AH/ B.Sc Agriculture/B.Sc Poultry Nutrition/ B. Pharm/ Bachelor's degree in science/ B.Com+MBA or equivalent • Experience: 10-12 years of proven sales experience specifically in Dairy feed additives and overall dairy nutrition in North India. • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of poultry nutrition, farming practices, and knowledge of modern concepts of mineral nutrition, feed safety, gut health and phytogenic as well as Non-Antibiotics growth promoters. • Skills: Self motivated with excellent negotiation and communication skills. Strong analytical skills to convert data into commercial value propositions. Basic Knowledge of MS Office • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
