Job Description: Position Purpose
The SAP Functional Analyst serves as the liaison between business stakeholders and Information Technology teams to deliver SAP solutions that support business objectives. This position analyzes business processes, gathers requirements, configures SAP applications, coordinates testing activities, and provides production support across assigned SAP modules. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements, implement system enhancements, and ensure stable and effective SAP operations that improve efficiency, productivity, and business performance.
Primary Responsibilities • Partner with business stakeholders to understand business processes, operational challenges, and system requirements; document and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional SAP specifications. • Evaluate existing business processes, identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, analyze functional requirements, and determine appropriate SAP solutions within assigned modules. • Identify gaps between business needs and standard SAP functionality, recommend solutions, and configure SAP modules to support business requirements and operational processes. • Develop and maintain functional specifications, configuration documentation, process flows, system procedures, user training materials, process documentation, and functional guides. • Collaborate with technical teams regarding custom development, interfaces, reports, integrations, enhancements, and system modifications. • Design, develop, and execute unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing activities; investigate, document, and coordinate resolution of system defects and enhancement requests. • Troubleshoot SAP production issues and provide timely incident resolution and root cause analysis; support end users by providing guidance, issue resolution, and system expertise. • Analyze interfaces between SAP and external applications to ensure data integrity and process effectiveness; monitor system performance and recommend continuous improvements to business processes and application functionality. • Coordinate activities with SAP functional teams, developers, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders. • Participate in SAP implementations, upgrades, migrations, rollouts, and system enhancement initiatives. • Support project lifecycle activities, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, cutover, and post-production stabilization; conduct end-user training sessions, demonstrations, and knowledge transfer activities. • Function as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company. • Performs other duties as assigned • Complies with all policies and standards
Required Qualifications: • Demonstrated experience building, implementing, and maintaining cost accounting structures within ERP systems. • Experience leading ERP cost calculation setup, configuration, and cost accounting processes. • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, standard costing methodologies, and variance analysis. • Proven ability to prepare monthly profit and loss statements and analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and standard costs. • Experience developing and maintaining cost tracking metrics, KPI reporting, and operational dashboards. • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure (CapEx) evaluation processes. • Ability to perform financial modeling and support operational decision-making in partnership with plant management and production teams. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills. • Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, production, and finance stakeholders. • Experience in a manufacturing environment required; experience in food manufacturing preferred.
