POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resource Generalist supports Human Resources functions including recruitment and hiring, onboarding, employee records, background checks and required screenings, payroll, benefits enrollment, and employment documentation. This position assists with the consistent and accurate completion of assigned HR processes and provides routine Human Resources information and support to employees and supervisors within these areas.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate recruitment of new staff, including job postings, applicant communication, interview scheduling, and working with managers throughout the hiring process. Assist with maintaining recruitment materials, application questions, templates, and applicant workflows, as well as identifying opportunities to improve recruitment and onboarding processes.

• Complete and maintain required background check and screening processes for new and current staff, including required authorizations, screenings, documentation, follow-up, and ongoing SAM/OIG checks.

• Conduct and coordinate new employee onboarding, including required employment documentation, onboarding activities, and completion of new-hire requirements.

• Maintain current, accurate, and complete employee records and required employment documentation in BambooHR and other Human Resources records and systems.

• Assist with routine Human Resources record reviews and audits to ensure required documentation is complete and current.

• Maintain quality service by following organizational and CARF standards.

• Assist with employee payroll preparation, maintain working knowledge of the full payroll process, and provide backup for payroll processing as needed.

• Assist with employee benefits enrollment and change processes, including employee enrollment, benefit changes, and required documentation.

• Maintain current knowledge of Human Resources practices, employment requirements, and job-related processes through ongoing education and professional development.

• Provide routine Human Resources information and support to employees and supervisors related to assigned HR processes, referring complex or sensitive matters to the Human Resource Manager as appropriate.

• All other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
