About Generation:
At Generation, we believe in the power of employment to change lives. We are a global nonprofit organization that supports adults to achieve economic mobility through employment. Generation trains and places adult learners of all ages into careers that are otherwise inaccessible, working in partnership with governments, employers, and other system actors. We also conduct original research and share data insights on high-priority global workforce transition topics to inform decision-making by workforce system stakeholders. Launched in 2015, Generation comprises a global hub (Generation You Employed, or GYE) and a network of in-country affiliates. To date, the network has 150,000+ graduates and 23,000+ employers across 50 professions and 17 countries.
When learners join Generation, 91% are unemployed, of which nearly half are long-term unemployed. Three months after completing our program, graduates have an 78% job placement rate, rising to 88% within six months. Of our employed graduates, 79% are hired by repeat employers who have previously hired Generation graduates, and 89% are in jobs directly related to the profession for which we have trained them. Employed graduates immediately earn an average of 3-4X their previous earnings. Two to five years after graduation, 77% of our alumni from upper-middle income countries continue to meet their daily financial needs and 63% can save for the future. To date, Generation’s global graduates have earned more than $1.9 billion in wages. Generation graduates typically have a secondary school background, 52% are female, 28% have dependents, and the majority identify with underrepresented communities in their country.
About the role:
• Job duration: This is a 12 months fixed-term contract
• Location requirements: Remote (with reliable WiFi), based in Colombia. Availability to travel within Colombia and attend in-person events

• End date: October 2027
What will you do:
The Program Coordinator will coordinate the execution of training phase logistics and operational activities across Generation Colombia programs. This role may also deliver assigned operational support to mobilization processes, as required.
Main Responsibilities
• Act as the main point of contact for learners, responding to learner inquiries, tracking requests, and escalating issues according to defined protocols.
• Execute learner onboarding activities (“Day 0”) by preparing onboarding sessions, validating learner readiness requirements, and documenting attendance and commitment prior to “Day 1.”
• Support day-to-day program delivery in collaboration with the C&I Coordinator by monitoring learner experience and tracking TSP operational execution when applicable.
• Identify, document, and support resolution of operational risks and issues by applying troubleshooting actions and supporting the implementation of mitigation plans.
• Track learner progress, engagement, and outcomes by maintaining monitoring tools, producing interim performance reports, and developing improvement recommendations.
• Execute learner stipend and resource distribution processes (laptops, internet access, cameras, and economic support) ensuring transparency and timely delivery.
• Monitor correct use of resources and compliance with program policies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot outcomes, create interim reports and make recommendations for operational improvements
• Support mentorship process execution by tracking participation, identifying dropout risks, and documenting actions to improve retention and graduation outcomes.
• Participate in weekly calls to troubleshoot learners’ outcomes and plan for extra support if needed
• Execute periodic TSP performance review activities by preparing inputs, documenting mentorship and operational delivery status, and tracking performance against academic and operational KPIs
• Conduct regular check-ins with TSP teams to review progress, risks, quality of instruction, and learner performance.
• Identify and escalate TSP-related risks and performance gaps by documenting findings and supporting corrective action planning and follow-up.
• Support the execution of complementary formative workshops by coordinating logistics and tracking delivery with partner companies.
• Execute cohort outcome support activities in collaboration with Learner Support Services by completing cohort risk analysis and individual learner readiness assessments.
Additionally, as part of placement support within the in-program sessions this role might:
• Support the BD & Partnerships team in employability activities during the in-program phase and ensure a structured and smooth handover to the placement team
• Execute learner preparation activities for transition into placement, ensuring data, profiles, and readiness of all learners are complete
• Support event planning and employability engagement activities with learners
About you:
• Bachelor's degree in any field with a solid academic record.
• 3-5 years of experience in program coordination, preferably in a nonprofit, start-up, or social enterprise environment
• Strong communication skills. Demonstrated fluency with Spanish and English speaking and writing skills
• Experience developing program procedures and resources, with keen attention to detail
• Experience managing teams, project managing tasks, and coordinating stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset to deliver against targets and seek opportunities for improvement and growth
• Results-driven and able to quantify success by developing metrics/analytics
• Ability to operate independently while also being a team player
• Belief in Generation’s mission, preferably with experience working with disadvantaged communities
• Demonstrated commitment to equity and social impact work
• The candidate should be open to traveling to Generation sites as per the needs of the program
