About this role
The Women's Coordinator provides both participant-focused services and operational leadership within the residential treatment program. In addition to coordinating specialized programming and support services for pregnant and parenting women, this position provides direct supervision of Recovery Support Staff and helps ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, gender-responsive residential services consistent with ASAM 3.5 and SAMHSA PPW program requirements.
• Coordinate women's programming and services within the residential treatment setting.
• Collaborate with clinical, medical, recovery support, and residential staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Assist with implementation of PPW grant activities and program initiatives.
• Ensure staff maintain a safe, structured, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented residential environment.
• Monitor daily program operations and provide oversight to ensure consistent implementation of program policies, procedures, and participant expectations.
• Support staff in effectively responding to participant needs, crises, behavioral concerns, and conflict resolution.
• Facilitate staff meetings, shift communication, and coordination between residential and clinical teams.
• Ensure appropriate supervision and support of participants during daily activities, parenting responsibilities, transportation, appointments, and community outings.
• Promote a culture of participant engagement, dignity, respect, accountability, and wellness throughout the residential program.
• Serve as a leadership presence within the residential environment and provide on-call support as assigned.
• Coordinate and/or facilitate educational groups, workshops, and activities that support recovery and relapse prevention, women's health, parenting skills, and healthy relationships.
• Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused residential environment.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with participants, families, and community partners.
• Monitors staff performance and provides the resources/staff development necessary to reach program goals.
• Promote participant engagement, retention, and successful completion of treatment services.
• Provide individualized support, coaching, encouragement, and advocacy.
• Serve as a consistent point of contact for participants and assist in navigating program expectations.
• Support participants in identifying strengths, setting goals, and building recovery capital.
• Reviews program financial statements, monitoring revenue and expenses while collaborating with supervisory and administrative staff in moving toward program self-sufficiency.
• Has an awareness of maintenance needs and communicates or coordinates with maintenance staff to resolve them.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Family Studies, Public Health, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with women, families, individuals with behavioral health, substance use, or social service needs.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and gender-responsive services.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience leading or supervising direct care, residential, or recovery support staff.
