Up to £11.6k per session 6 sessions per week: Mon, Tues, ThursNHS PensionWith patient care at the forefront of all that we do, we work on a total triage model which has improved patient access. No more crazy 8am rush or telephone lottery for patients, instead we review patients on a needs basis, providing them with the right care, when they need it. For GPs, this refocuses your work on those patients that genuinely need a GP.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve a variety of face-to-face and telephone appointments and will include appointments to complete ward rounds and home visits.
You will work among a team of like-minded GPs, nurses and HCAs and will be supported by a GP Clinical Lead.

Job description Job responsibilities
Clinical Care: Provide patient care via face-to-face, telephone, digital consultations and home visits. Prescribe medications, request and interpret diagnostic tests, and manage acute illnesses, chronic conditions and minor injuries. Deliver preventative care including vaccinations, health screening and health promotion.
Triage & Patient Navigation:Your sessions will be split between patient based and triage. Whilst acting as a Triage GP you will be identifying and navigating appointment requests to appropriate timelines whilst providing the wider team with clinical advise and support as necessary
Safeguarding: Remain vigilant to safeguarding concerns, follow safeguarding protocols and escalate concerns promptly, seeking guidance from the Designated Safeguarding Lead or Group Manager when required.
Professional Development: Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge through ongoing training, peer learning and supervision. Support the education and training of students, junior doctors and other healthcare professionals where appropriate.
Clinical Governance & Quality: Support the practice in meeting national targets (e.g. QOF, IIF and access standards), comply with clinical governance requirements, participate in audits and meetings, and manage time effectively across clinical and administrative responsibilities.

Primary Care experience in a GP practice

Experience with primary care systems: SystmOne, AccuRX Experience of triage
Specific Skills/Competencies Essential
Knowledge of clinical governance Good organisational and IT skills desirable Will have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to working as part of a team Will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Clear commitment to delivering quality and patient focused services
Qualifications Essential
GMC Certificate and NPL registration (with no conditions preventing working or restrictions on practice).
