Redlands Primary Care is a welcoming and innovative GP practice with a Branch Practice at Thorverton, near Exeter
We have an exciting opportunity for a Dispenser or Trainee Dispenser to join our friendly and supportive dispensing team in our recently refurbished Thorverton Branch
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to work 24 hours per week.
24 hours as follows: 08:00 - 18:00 Mondays and Tuesdays; 13:30 - 18:00 Wednesdays.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will join the Dispensing team to deliver the following:
Manage repeat medication requests safely and efficiently.
Respond to patient queries relating to prescriptions and medicines.
Dispense and check medications in accordance with practice procedures.
Support effective stock management and medicines governance processes.
Undertake daily prescription and cash handling checks, maintaining accurate records.
Maintain patient confidentiality and information security at all times

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Dispenser or Trainee Dispenser to join our friendly dispensing team. Experience in a dispensing environment is desirable; however, comprehensive training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
This varied role combines patient interaction, dispensing duties, stock management and medicines governance. You will play an important role in ensuring patients receive safe, accurate and timely access to their medication while working closely with clinicians and colleagues across the practice.
The successful candidate will be organised, detail-focused and committed to providing excellent patient care.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Good standard of general education, including GCSE Mathematics grade C/4 or above or equivalent and GCSE English grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
Desirable
NVQ2 Pharmacy Service Skills qualification ECDL or CLAIT qualification
Experience Essential
The successful candidate will be able to describe experience of being respectful to colleagues and customers alike, as well as being empathetic, patient and an active listener. Attention to detail and ability to prioritise are essential.
Desirable
Experience in a customer or patient-facing role would be an advantage.
