Job summary The successful candidates will have a major interest in orthopaedic trauma management with particular focus on pelvic and acetabular trauma. An elective interest will also be accommodated assuming it fits with the needs of the department. They will be one of 2 lead trauma consultants within one of the 4 orthopaedic trauma teams, each team being made up of 4 consultants. The more senior trauma lead consultants within each clinical team will provide mentorship to the successfulcandidates and joint operating is encouraged for more complex cases. They will be based mainly at the University Hospital site and will take on the continued management of multiply injured patients. The successful candidates will have a central role in the ongoing development of trauma pathways and the trauma service as a whole.
