Job summary We require an exceptionally skilled leader to ensure the benefits of advances in genomics are consistently available to the entire population of the North West. The Medical Rare Disease Lead of the North West Genomic Medicine Service (NW GMS) will be a pivotal leader in the NW GMS team and will contribute to the formation of national genomics strategy as a member of national genomics network as well as regional transformation plans. The Medical Rare Disease Lead of NW GMS will assist the clinical, scientific and operational teams to deliver on the nationally set priorities as well as those set by the NW GMS Senior leadership team and the NW GMS Partnership Board. They will provide specialist clinical direction and leadership for the NW GMS, ensuring high-quality patient care, and promoting the embedding of genomics across rare diseases in all specialisms.
