We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant (Retail) to join our team working within The Lamp and The Bistro at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital.

As a Catering Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operation of The Lamp and Bistro, serving food and beverages, operating tills, replenishing stock, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring high standards of food hygiene and customer care at all times.
We are seeking team members with excellent communication skills, a positive can-do attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of a Catering Assistant Retail working at Burton Hospital are to work as part of Facilities to carry out a variety of tasks associated with food preparation, food and beverage service to patients, visitors and staff.
Delivering excellent customer care by demonstrating helpfulness, awareness, and compassion towards patients, visitors, staff, and colleagues. Serving food, beverages, and retail items in a professional and friendly manner. Carrying out cleaning duties in accordance with departmental cleaning schedules, including equipment, work surfaces, crockery, and cutlery. Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and infection prevention. Supporting the day-to-day operation of the retail outlets as part of a collaborative team.
