Needham Market Country Practice is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and patient-focused GP to join our friendly and supportive team as a Salaried GP for up to 8 sessions per week.

Main duties of the job
As a Salaried GP at Needham Market Country Practice, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to our practice population. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will provide a full range of general medical services and contribute to the ongoing development of the practice.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing routine and urgent GP consultations, both face-to-face and remotely.Assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.Undertaking home visits where clinically appropriate.Prescribing and reviewing medications in line with best practice and local guidance.Managing pathology results, correspondence, and other clinical administrative work.Collaborating closely with our multidisciplinary team, including pharmacists, mental health practitioners, social prescribers, and other ARRS roles.Supporting quality improvement initiatives and maintaining high clinical standards.Participating in practice and clinical meetings.Contributing to the achievement of practice and PCN objectives.Supporting continuity of care and building strong relationships with patients and colleagues.

Clinical DutiesConduct face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations.Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.Provide appropriate health promotion and preventative care advice.Prescribe medications in accordance with best practice and current clinical guidelines.Review and manage pathology results, correspondence, and clinical reports.Make referrals to secondary care and community services as appropriate.Undertake home visits when clinically required.Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records using SystmOne.Safeguard vulnerable children and adults in line with local and national policies.Multidisciplinary WorkingWork collaboratively with Partners, nursing staff, pharmacists, care coordinators, social prescribers, mental health practitioners, and other members of the wider healthcare team.Participate in multidisciplinary meetings where appropriate.Support continuity of care and care planning for patients with long-term conditions and complex needs.Quality Improvement and GovernanceContribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.Participate in practice meetings and educational events.Support the achievement of QOF, Enhanced Services, and PCN objectives.Maintain professional development, appraisal, and revalidation requirements.Actively participate in significant event reviews and clinical governance activities.Administrative ResponsibilitiesProcess clinical correspondence and workflow tasks in a timely manner.Complete reports and medical records reviews as required.Ensure coding and documentation meet practice and contractual standards.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Fully qualified General Practitioner. GMC registration with a licence to practise. Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List.
