Key Responsibilities
Reception Duties
Greet patients and visitors warmly and respond to enquiries efficiently.
Manage appointments using System One
Guide new and temporary patients through registration procedures.
Take payments as required and issue receipts.
Handle incoming and outgoing post.
Open and close the premises when rota requires.
Assist with general admin tasks including photocopying, printing, and document handling.
Telephone Duties
Answer and manage incoming calls promptly and professionally.
Administrative & Specific Duties
Process repeat and acute prescription requests.
Complete daily Pathlink allocation, process emails, and manage uncollected scripts.
Perform monthly script returns and manage script records.
Order stationery and printer supplies.
Bradninch site only Manage prescription payments and handouts.
You must be able to work at our main site in Cullompton and provide cover at our branch sites when required.
Hours available include a mix of early mornings and late finishes, shared fairly across the team.
On-the-job training and mentoring included.

Experience Essential
Reliable, adaptable, and flexible with working hours Polite, courteous, and patient with strong interpersonal skills Resilient under pressure and able to manage a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and demeanor Strong IT skills and confidence using electronic systems A calm, compassionate, and organised approach to work Absolute discretion and understanding of confidentiality requirements Previous customer service experience
Desirable
Experience in a medical or NHS setting Familiarity with Systm One
