Job summary
Stephenson Park Health Group, Forest Hall / Killingworth branches, are looking for a full time admin/receptionist to join our busy, friendly multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be based at our Forest Hall branch looking after just over 14000 patients. Hours of work will be between 8.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday. Our clinical system is SystmOne.
Main duties of the job
Action tasks set by clinicians via the clinical systems and email Ensure accurate data recording Manage the appointment system as per Practice policy Deal with all general patient enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow-up appointments. Receive and make telephone calls as required. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery via the computer system. Enter requests for home visits screen, ensuring careful recording of all relevant details and where necessary refer to On-Call Doctor. Enter patient information on to the computer as required. Ensure appropriate information and or contacts are noted on patient records Ensure correspondence, reports, results etc are scanned and appropriately filed promptly and in the correct records.

Stephenson Park Health Group operates across 3 sites looking after a practice list size of just over 18000 patients. We have an extensive multidisciplinary team comprising of Doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitoners, Practice Nurses, Mental Health Nurses, Pharmacy technicians and Healthcare Assistants working alongside an experienced and well established administration team.

Successful Candidate would need to be able to work Monday to Friday 7.5hrs per day. The main aspect of this job would answering calls and/or reception duties as below.

Experience Essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle high volumes of calls professionally and efficiently Strong listening and interpersonal skills Experience delivering high levels of customer service Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Good IT and keyboard skills, including accurate data entry Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good organisational and time-management skills Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
Desirable
it would be beneficial if a candidate had previous GP experience as this can help with training when commencing the role but this is not essential as training is always provided
