Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Junior Information Analyst to join the Barts Health Business Intelligence team. The role requires someone with a strong eye for detail and is highly motivated to review and improve the data quality of information. Producing high quality and reliable information is a key feature of this role.
The purpose of the role is ensure the Trust meets it's national and local information requirements in line with the Trust submissions timetable. This post holer will assist in the promotion, development and production of a range of information services and ensure that information is presented in a usable format that can be interpreted by a range of staff groups
The Business Intelligence team has a range of skill sets and areas of expertise that makes working in it an exciting opportunity. The team manage the national reporting submissions for the trust as well as leading on modelling, predictive analytics, and developing analysis to support key decisions about our services. The central BIU team members are encouraged to develop new skills and to use technology to streamline and automate work in order to develop individuals and ensure the team works efficiently.
Main duties of the job
As a Junior Information Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making across the Trust by delivering high-quality analysis and reporting. Your responsibilities will include:o Providing a professional information and analytics service to clinical and corporate teams, helping stakeholders understand and use data effectively.o Delivering timely ad hoc and routine analysis, transforming complex datasets into clear, meaningful insights and user friendly reports.o Working collaboratively with clinicians, managers and BI teams to identify information needs and improve reporting solutions.o Supporting the development of automated and self-service BI tools, reducing manual work and improving access to information.o Providing support and guidance to colleagues to promote the effective use of data and information in decision-making.o Continuously developing your skills and knowledge, maintaining a commitment to professional development and best practice in analytics.o Monitoring and improving data quality, identifying discrepancies and contributing to resolutions.
