GP Receptionist / Administrator

Job SummaryWe are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist/Administrator to join our busy GP practice. The successful candidate will provide excellent patient care, manage reception duties, and support the administrative functions of the practice while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Main duties of the job

Main Responsibilities

Greeting patients and visitors. Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries. Booking, amending, and cancelling appointments. Processing prescriptions and patient registrations. Managing incoming correspondence and scanning documents. Maintaining accurate patient records on SystemOne. Administrative support for clinicians and the wider practice team. Read coding and data entry to support record accuracy.

Previous experience with Read Coding/Clinical Coding. Knowledge and use of AskMyGP and other primary care software. Experience processing clinical correspondence and updating patient records.
