Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Assessment Suite (AS)/Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU) based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
We are looking for enthusiastic,motivatedand reliableindividual'sto join ourvery busyteam.You willbe requiredto provide administrative support within the main AS and ACU.
Excellent inter-personalandorganisationalskills are essential as you will befirstpoint of contact for patients,staffand visitors.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisationaland processing skills. You willbe requiredto work within a large multi-disciplinary team and be capable of undertaking a demanding workload.You should be familiar and confident with Microsoft office packages, and experience of working within the NHS would be advantageous.Knowledge of e-RecordandIfitwould be desirable.Full training will be given.

Main duties of the job
Duties include patient registration via theunits electronic systems, admission of patients via hospital system.
Makingappointment'sonschapptbook, filing, photocopying, telephoneenquiries, processingof daily documentation, as well as face to face enquires from thegeneral public, patients, visitors and staff.

The provision of an efficient administration service within the Assessment Unit and Ambulatory Care Unit. To work as part of Admin Team to provide effective service for both Inpatient and Outpatient Departments within Assessment Suite and Ambulatory Care Unit. The efficient running of unit reception areas and greeting of visitors and patients at the front line.

Experience Essential
Knowledge of clerical procedures e.g. booking / changing appointments dealing with telephone enquiries filing system, tracking notes. Experience of working with the general public

Good standard of written English / IT skills (e.g. GCSE level or equivalent qualification / experience).
Desirable
RSA 1 and 2 in word processing or equivalent A sound knowledge of eRecord system
