Contract: Substantive, Full-Time and part-time appointments considered (10 PAs available)

Main duties of the job
You'll manage complex dental cases, contribute to multidisciplinary cleft clinics, and support education and research in a purpose-built Dental Health Unit with modern surgeries, sedation facilities, and Daycase and in-patient GA

Management and Leadership Essential
Experience in the day-to-day clinical management of a Paediatric Dentistry service

Clinical leadership experience in paediatric dentistry Qualification in Medical Leadership

Effective participation in clinical audit/service evaluations & quality improvement

Lead role in the delivery of QI initiatives

Experience of postgraduate and undergraduate teaching and training, at an appropriate level Experience in supervising DCTs & StRs

Experience in multi-disciplinary and multiprofessional management of complex paediatric dental patients Experience of delivering tertiary care in a Children's Hospital environment

Qualifications & Training Essential
BDS or equivalent Membership in Paediatric Dentistry or equivalent. Possession of a Certificate of Accreditation or eligibility for a CCST in Paediatric Dentistry. Possession of the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examination in Paediatric Dentistry or equivalent upon taking up post.
Desirable
Other Postgraduate qualification in Paediatric Dentistry or equivalent (e.g. MSc, Professional Doctorate) Successful completion of a SAC approved 2-year minimum training programme in a FTTA in Paediatric Dentistry, or within 6 months of such, or equivalent 'run through' training

Ability to critically appraise scientific literature

Registration Essential
