About this role
Job summary You'll support patients through a range of healthcare reviews and clinical procedures, helping them stay well and access the care they need. Based within a skilled and supportive nursing team, you will play an important role in delivering safe, compassionate care and improving patient experience. As a Health Care Assistant, you will work closely with registered healthcare professionals, patients and carers. You will help deliver routine clinical care, support health monitoring, and ensure patient information is recorded accurately. Main duties of the job What you'll do:
Carry out healthcare reviews and clinical procedures such as blood pressure checks, phlebotomy, ECGs and wound care Support patients and carers with advice, information and compassionate care Record patient information accurately on electronic systems and maintain clinical records Prepare clinical rooms and equipment, and help manage stock levels Work alongside healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and support service improvement What we're looking for: Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or equivalent experience Experience working in a healthcare setting and managing your own workload Good basic IT skills and confidence using electronic records Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues A caring, approachable attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team We welcome applications from people with different backgrounds and experiences and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone is treated with fairness, respect and dignity
