About this role
We have IT Infra team to manage VM and physical IT infra servers globally. The primary objective of this team is to support, manage and monitor existing infra server VMWARE, Esxi and Physical Hardware including UCS, Blade, Chassis and Rack servers)
Virtualization Management: Administer and support VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, and vCenter Servers and Nsx-v and NSX-t infra instances. Cluster & Resource Health: Monitor and manage cluster configurations, High Availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), and vSAN datastores. Incident & Problem Management: Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, VM connectivity losses, storage latency, and host failures. Patching & Upgrades: Perform regular lifecycle management, firmware updates, and ESXi/vCenter patching and Dell OMSA Backup & Recovery: Coordinate with enterprise backup tools (e.g., Veeam, NetBackup) to ensure VM data integrity and disaster recovery readiness. Collaboration: Work alongside Windows/Linux OS, storage, and network teams on root cause analysis (RCA) and infrastructure maintenance. Monitoring: Regular Monitoring of Infra servers and services via Zabbix, VMware vROps , physical servers support and AMC Vendors Cordination: Work with On Prem and On Cloud Datacenter support teams for vendor engagement and support coordination. Knowledge of Horizon VDI, SRM, Hyperv and Azure will have extra advantage. Currently, we have a Principal Engineer, Aneesh Koshy, who has put his resignation letter on 07h Aug. His last working day will be 5th Oct 2026.
