We're looking for a Project Contract Manager (Engineering Project Manager) to work with our client Main Roads WA in Narrogin. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, working 42.5 hours per week, supporting the delivery of direct-managed road infrastructure projects across the Wheatbelt region. Depending on project requirements, a 10:2 roster may be required from time to time. Accommodation support will be provided for the successful candidate through either an accommodation allowance or employer-funded rental arrangements. We're seeking an experienced construction professional who understands what it takes to mobilise and deliver civil infrastructure projects in regional environments. You'll be responsible for coordinating the people, resources, logistics and contractors needed to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out on projects, solving problems, coordinating multiple stakeholders and ensuring construction activities are set up for success from day one. Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this role offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
• Managing the planning, mobilisation and delivery of direct-managed construction and maintenance projects • Coordinating contractors, project teams, plant, equipment and resources to support efficient project delivery • Managing project logistics, including access arrangements, laydown areas, haul routes, materials management and construction sequencing • Monitoring project performance against scope, schedule, budget and operational requirements • Leading contractor and stakeholder engagement activities to support successful project outcomes • Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with safety, environmental, quality and contractual requirements • Managing project risks, issues and competing priorities throughout the project lifecycle • Building strong working relationships with contractors, local stakeholders, project teams and operational personnel • Supporting the allocation and management of financial, physical and human resources to achieve project objectives • Promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently What you will bring to the team:
• Demonstrated experience delivering civil construction, road construction, bridge construction or infrastructure projects • Strong understanding of construction planning, project mobilisation and contractor management • Experience coordinating construction logistics, resources and work programs across active project sites • Proven ability to manage contractors, subcontractors and project stakeholders to achieve project outcomes • Experience managing project budgets, schedules and operational resources • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to drive performance and build capable teams • Practical understanding of roadworks, pavement construction, maintenance or transport infrastructure projects • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills • Sound understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements within construction environments • Current Western Australian C Class Driver's Licence Highly regarded
• Experience delivering Main Roads WA or similar government infrastructure projects • Experience working in regional or remote construction environments • Civil construction, engineering, project management or contract management qualifications • Experience managing direct-managed works programs Interested?
