About this role
In this role, you’ll carry out a range of general duties, including excavation work associated with LV service jointing, as well as the erection and removal of columns, signs and bollards and work on associated cable networks. You’ll also support E.ON Utility Solutions with driving, deliveries and general yard duties.
Key Responsibilities
The removal or decommissioning of assets as required.Work in connection with the installation and decommissioning of ALL associated street lighting equipment and EV connections.Driving general company vehicles including HGV.Operating lorry mounted crane.Excavation work for joint holes, columns, sign and bollard installations and associated cable runs.The safe use and operation of tools, equipment and vehicles associated with the roleProviding support to skilled and specialist operativesWorking in a safe manner and in accordance with Company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies and proceduresComplying with operational working practices and associated risk assessmentsTaking full ownership for personal Health & Safety responsibilitiesMentoring young and vulnerable persons on siteEnsuring PPE is always worn What we need from you A current NRSWA qualification LA 01, 02 to 05 and 08Up to date UK HGV Class II Driving LicenceNVQ level 2 Highways Electrical WorkCPCS Lorry Loader or equivalentA high degree of manual dexterityFlexibility to work unsociable hours when required by the businessAbility to understand and follow instructions accuratelyConfidence to work independently using own initiative, as well as contributing effectively within a teamEffective communication skills and a polite, courteous approach when interacting with members of the public.
