About this role
The Math Interventionist is responsible for supporting student achievement by providing direct small-group instruction to students not yet meeting grade-level expectations in math. This is a part-time position of 12-20 hours per week, generally between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm. This is an hourly position paid $26.00 per hour. Duties:
• Provide small group direct instruction to students identified as eligible for math intervention both within and outside the regular classroom setting
• Assist with identifying students for placement in intervention groups
• Collect data and progress monitor student growth
• Maintain communication with classroom teachers regarding student needs, intervention strategies utilized, and student progress
• Collaborate with the district STEM Curriculum Coordinator and building administrators
Requirements:
• MA Licensure in appropriate area preferred
• Elementary math teaching experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree
• Collaboration and communication skills
• Knowledge of basic learning and management strategies
