osition: Assistant Coach: High School Wrestling (Winter Season) (2 openings) Location: Upper St. Clair High School Dates: November 20, 2026 – February 5, 2027 Position Summary: Upper St. Clair High School is seeking an energetic, motivated, and team-oriented individual for the role of Assistant Coach: High School Wrestling for the upcoming winter season. The Assistant Coach works closely with the Head Coach and Athletic Director to support student-athletes, promote sportsmanship, and help lead a high-performing program. Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Head Coach in planning, executing, and leading daily practices and game strategies.
• Attend all scheduled practices, scrimmages, and games (including after-school and weekend events).
• Take the lead on specific skill-development drills and play key roles in team preparations, as needed by the Head Coach.
• Follow all district policies.
• Attend all mandatory coaches' training and compliance meetings.
• Maintain a safety-conscious environment and follow all District policies, safety guidelines, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and Head Coach.
Qualifications:
• Previous coaching experience (high school level preferred).
• Strong fundamental and tactical understanding of the sport.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with students, parents, and administrative staff.
• Strong organization, reliability, and team-first mindset.
• Flexibility and availability for after-school practices and evening/weekend game schedules.
• Pre-Employment Requirements: If an offer is extended, the individual will need to complete all pre-employment required clearances, a physical examination/TB test, a drug screening, and all standard HR onboarding paperwork prior to starting.
