Family Outreach Liaison (4 Hours) | Education Assistant ( 3 Hours) |10 Month Work Calendar | Orenco Elementary School Internal Classified employees are not eligible to apply for open positions during their probationary period of employment. Hiring Administrator: Allison Combs GENERAL DUTIES: Provide support to families by connecting with available resources and programs. Facilitate engagement in school activities to promote student achievement. Be able to attend evening events or meetings occasionally; ability to use car to pick up or deliver. Provide educational support to all students under the direction of licensed staff. Supervise students in various settings and monitor for safety concerns. Position will include lunch/recess (outdoor) supervision at times. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
• Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
• Experience working with children
• Experience with connecting families to community resources and agencies
• Bilingual English/Spanish Required (bilingual is defined as fluency in reading, writing and speaking two languages as determined by District screening tool)
