About this role

Summary: Join our team as a Hearing Technician to conduct hearing screenings at multiple schools in the Riverview area for kindergarten, first, and sixth grade students. Hearing technicians are trained to conduct hearing screenings, use FOCUS for scheduling, and enter data into the FOCUS system. Hearing technicians must be professional, dependable, punctual, organized, and be able to quickly adapt to working with a variety of students, staff, and school teams. Applicants must have two years of work experience in Exceptional Student Education. Hearing technicians are itinerant and drive to multiple school locations; therefore, they must have reliable transportation.Questions? Please contactSarah [email protected]. The Hearing Technician conducts hearing screenings at multiple school and community sites in the school district. The Hearing Technician is responsible for hearing screenings on all students who require screenings within Hillsborough County Public Schools.

· Creates a testing schedule for all elementary and middle schools.

· Sends notifications to school administrators, nurses, and office personnel of the school’s scheduled screening dates and requests paperwork needed for screening.

· Works closely with administration at each school to compile a schedule for the screening of all students who require screening, per their grade assignment.

· Prepares designated areas at each school in preparation of hearing screening.

· Conducts screenings on students.

· Completes all required paperwork.

· Performs any other duties as assigned.
