Position: Human Resources Specialist (Confidential), Permanent Suppoprt Staff (Anticipated) Location: Chancellor Center Available: January, 2027 Hours: 7.5 hours per day/5 days per week Requirements: The Council Rock School District is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department. The Confidential HR Specialist will support a variety of Human Resources functions, including new employee onboarding and orientation, employee benefits administration, employment verifications, employee training, clearance updates, maintenance of confidential personnel files, and responding to employee inquiries. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with the administration and coordination of employee benefit programs.
• Coordinate, schedule, and conduct all aspects of new employee orientations and onboarding activities.
• Work extensively within the District's HRIS and administrative systems, including Tyler Munis and PowerSchool.
• Calculate and maintain employee payroll deductions related to benefits.
• Assist with employment verifications and Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) documentation.
• Monitor and maintain employee clearances and required training records.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential personnel files.
• Respond promptly and professionally to employee questions and concerns regarding benefits and Human Resources procedures.
• Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department as needed.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with administrators, employees, and District staff.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications The successful candidate must possess:
• A bachelor's degree or a minimum of 1–2 years of recent, relevant experience in Human Resources, preferably with experience in employee benefits.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access.
• Experience working with databases, HRIS systems, and other technology platforms.
• Strong computer and technology skills, with the ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems.
• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced office environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• The ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
REQUIRED PAPERWORK: In order to begin employment in any PA public school, all employees are required to complete mandatory paperwork. Background employment clearances must be completed within the last year to be valid and include:
• PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
• Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
• FBI Fingerprints (Act 114) IndentoGo
Some additional paperwork includes Arrest/Conviction Report form, PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168), physician's health form and recently completed TB test.
