Qualifications

Education/Certification: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program Valid Registered Nurse License (RN) from the Texas Board of Nursing Current automatic external defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary Certified Vision, Hearing and Spinal Screener with DSHS Experience: Must have five years healthcare experience Must have five years experience working with Electronic Medical Record Systems Community Outreach organization experience (preferred) Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Trustees may find appropriate and acceptable. Technical Skills, Responsibilities, and Duties

In PSJA ISD, we hire individuals who demonstrate excellence in these technical areas as they lead others. Major Responsibilities and Duties

• Communicate with healthcare professionals and patients about treatment plans.

• Overseeing clinic operations and staff duties.

• Keeping medical professionals informed about healthcare administered at the clinic.

• Managing the clinic's billing system, and inventory.

• Ordering stock supplies and vaccines for the clinic.

• Overseeing the purchasing, maintenance, and repair of clinic equipment.

• Developing procedures to deliver optimal patient care.

• Performing the training, and performance evaluation of staff members.

• Managing internal and external communication and answering queries about the clinic.

• Schedules appointments for the physicians and providers to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time and most effective use of examining and treatment rooms.

• Answer phone calls and respond to emails.

• Assists ill or distraught patients as necessary. Communicates with family members when necessary for transportation.

• Participates in the medical office emergency routine when required. Summons ambulance or EMS or assists other staff members as needed.

• Works with a team of doctors, practitioners, and nurses to provide quality patient care.

• Routinely surveys patients and reviews findings with Health Services Director and staff

• Monitor licenses and liability insurance for all clinic employees.

• Provides weekly/monthly and as requested reports to Health Services Director

• Communicates patients concerns with Health Services Director

• Assist with setting up flu vaccine clinics and routine blood work draws at PSJA schools for employees and students covered by PSJA insurance.

• Determine who is covered for services by communicating with PSJA Employee Benefits.

• Maintains confidentiality of all patient records.

• Is familiar with medical database software, medical research software, medical diagnosis software, medical billing software, e-prescribing software, scheduling software, billing software, and telemedicine software.

• Has an understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPPA and OSHA.
