About this role
Human Resources Coordinator TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Non-Exempt Position; 40 hours per week; 12 month position. SALARY: NC 11-12 REPORTS TO: HR Director QUALIFICATIONS: Four-year degree preferred; two-year degree or combination of education and extensive experience in K-12 education and/or human resources required; strong computer skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality DUTIES:
• Serve as the Licensure Specialist
• Prepare and publish vacancy announcements
• Prepare personnel documentation for Director of Personnel, Superintendent, and Board
• Facilitate the hiring and separation process for all employees in a timely manner
• Process employee background checks
• Assist the HR Director in the preparation of employee contracts
• Facilitate new employee orientation
• Coordinate the District's volunteer program
• Assist the HR Director in maintaining personnel files
• Maintain employee information and position management in the employee management software
• Facilitate annual training for employees
• Prepare reports
• Assist the HR Director in the recruitment, retention, and management of certified and classified personnel.
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to maintain complete and accurate records
• Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Ability to type accurately at a moderate rate
• Ability to use common spreadsheet, word processing and file maintenance programs
• Ability to follow both oral and written instructions
• Willingness to share knowledge to strengthen department as a whole and others as individuals
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments
• Be physically capable of standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching
• Ability to work alone, focused to complete assigned duties on a daily basis, and whenever other areas of the department need immediate short-term assistance
• Ability to work as a team player
• Willingness to take on new assignments, or try new ways of working in order to save time and work smarter
• General knowledge of the principles of organization and administration
