Daily Proctor assignments are made by the Program Coordinator based on testing needs, assessment type, school location, and student enrollment. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The duties listed below are representative examples of work performed. Specific assignments and responsibilities may vary depending on the testing program and administration requirements. Lead Proctors are responsible for overseeing testing sessions and ensuring all exam procedures and security requirements are followed. Responsibilities may include:
• Preparing and arranging testing rooms according to testing requirements.
• Retrieving, organizing, and securing testing materials prior to and during test administration.
• Using a Bellevue School District issued laptop and applicable testing platforms to complete administrative tasks such as attendance, student check-in, test session management, and incident reporting.
• Reading and following standardized testing scripts and procedures as required by the testing program.
• Monitoring students throughout the testing session to ensure a secure and standardized testing environment.
• Maintaining the security and confidentiality of all testing materials and student information.
• Providing approved testing accommodations in accordance with documented student plans and testing program requirements.
• Collecting, organizing, inventorying, and returning testing materials after the administration.
• Documenting and reporting testing irregularities or incidents according to established procedures.
• Verifying that permitted materials and resources are used appropriately.
• Following detailed written and verbal instructions, maintaining confidentiality, and working in a professional testing environment.
• Attending required training sessions and reviewing testing materials prior to assignments.
• Performing other testing-related duties as assigned.
Assistant Proctors work under the direction of the Lead Proctors. Responsibilities may include:
• Assisting in the exam room as needed.
• Performing other duties as assigned by lead proctor.
• Attending required training sessions and reviewing testing materials prior to assignments.
Testing Schedule and Locations
• Testing assignments may occur across the district during school hours, evenings, or weekends.
• Assignments are temporary and scheduled on an as-needed basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions, maintain confidentiality, test security and work in a professional testing environment.
• Effectively interact with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation to assigned testing locations within the district may be required.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills and web-based software, including the ability to learn and navigate online testing platforms.
• Capacity to remain attentive and actively monitor students for extended periods.
• Successful completion of required training and compliance with all district and testing program requirements.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Reports directly to and is supervised by the Program Coordinator. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. This position may be exposed to prolonged exposure to visual display terminals as required. Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Lead Proctor $31.50/hour Assistant Proctor $26.75/hour This is a general posting for one or more temporary positions for 2026-27 school year.
