Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing telecommunications and IT projects that support joint and special operations missions; developing and fielding secure, interoperable communications systems while managing requirements, budgets, lifecycle replacement, and configuration control; and coordinating with cybersecurity personnel, contracting offices, vendors, and senior leaders to maintain system readiness, compliance, and modernization. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Major DutiesServes as Telecommunication and Information Technology Projects Program Manager for the Joint Communications Unit.Delivers technical expertise and modernized telecommunications to maintain state-of-the-art information management programs for all supported organizations.Leads and oversees project related functions which prepare, guide, monitor, control, and report the activity effort in meeting implementation objectives throughout the life cycle of projects.Manages project databases to track planning, budgeting, and life-cycle configurations of authorized programs.Directs project databases and policies to manage budgets, resources, and status reports for Headquarters and participating organizations.Serves as representative at all Requirement Review Boards, Change Management Boards, and Vulnerability Management Boards. Maintains liaison with multiple inter-agencies and vendors.
