QualificationsIn order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience leading or executing test and analysis efforts for DoW systems related to Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), and Spectrum Management (SM); combining multiple subsystems (air traffic control systems, space systems, data links) into operational platforms; signal processing, combat identification systems, navigation systems, avionics, radars, antenna systems, missile systems, guided munitions, air defense systems, electronic warfare, electronic or signals intelligence, and test range instrumentation, or scientific instrumentation; representing the government in writing procurement policy for electronics. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.
Major DutiesOrchestrates technical support to DoD and other government program offices on issues relating to Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), and Spectrum Management (SM).Plans, conducts, and coordinates activities in the following areas: project planning and management, E3/EMC analysis and engineering, systems integration, test and evaluation, and spectrum management.Provides the support contractor with operational requirements, equipment deployments, and other required data relevant to the project.Tracks technology trends and DoD initiatives to provide the Branch Chief with capabilities improvements addressing project requirements and spectrum-dependent systems.Identifies issues requiring action by leadership and keeps Branch Chief apprised of activities involving interaction with external organizations.Makes recommendations for DISA support as appropriate.
