QualificationsFor The GS-06: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Deter, detect, delay, assess, respond, defeat and document unauthorized access to Navy installations and property (includes Navy lead Joint Bases) and locations designated as restricted areas. Preserving the life, health, and safety of personnel and safeguarding assets, and technologies from threats which include: terrorism, unlawful entry, sabotage, espionage, theft, accidental or willful damage, and destruction on installations which secure one or more of the following; assets deemed critical to national security, flight lines, piers, communication nodes, national historic sites and major command headquarters. Verify eligibility and grant access to those individuals that have met screening requirements and demonstrated a need to access the installation or protected area. Deny access to those not meeting access criteria. For The GS-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Screening and/or inspecting personal and commercial vehicles requesting installation access; 2) Controlling personnel access by verifying identification/credentials; 3) Patrolling buildings or perimeters for suspicious activity; and 4) Maintaining desk logs, desk journals, and pass-down logbooks to document security events. For The GS-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least 6 months of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Screening and/or inspecting personal and commercial vehicles requesting installation access; 2) Controlling personnel access by verifying identification/credentials; 3) Patrolling buildings or perimeters for suspicious activity; and 4) Maintaining desk logs, desk journals, and pass-down logbooks to document security events. Major DutiesYou will perform patrols, control vehicle movement, and pedestrian traffic at fixed posts to include utilization of technology.You will record visitor information and purpose of visits as necessary; and may issue short or long term passes or refer visitors to another location to obtain passes.You will assist in providing initial response and traffic control for vehicular accidents, which may include providing first aid, requesting appropriate emergency responses, securing the scene and identifying witnesses.
