Help shape a strong safety culture at one of Lion’s largest and most recognised operational sites. Behind those brands are passionate teams working across our breweries and operations, with safety at the heart of how we work. We’re looking for a Safety Partner to join us at our Tooheys Brewery in Lidcombe – a significant operational site within Lion. You’ll work closely with site leaders and teams, helping build their safety capability, manage operational risk and strengthen a culture where everyone takes ownership for keeping themselves and each other safe. The role is focused on coaching, guiding and influencing rather than simply being the person who “does safety.” You’ll support the implementation of Lion’s safety systems and processes while building leader capability and driving continuous improvement across the site. What you’ll be doing: Partner with site leaders and operational teams to strengthen safety practices and culture Coach leaders to identify, assess and effectively manage operational risks Support incident management, including serious incidents and regulator notification processes Provide support across injury management, workers compensation and return to work Support emergency management planning and operational safety requirements Bring a strong risk lens to areas including machine safety, materials handling and chemical management Build safety capability so leaders and teams confidently own safety within their day-to-day operations What you’ll bring: Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety or equivalent Practical WHS experience within an operational environment Strong knowledge of risk and incident management Exposure to operational safety risks such as machinery, logistics or materials handling Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Confidence coaching and influencing operational leaders and frontline teams An ability to balance practical operational needs with safety requirements Return to Work Coordinator Certificate or equivalent experience would be beneficial At Lion, you’ll be part of a business that puts safety at the heart of how we work.
