Job Description The Service Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting day-to-day facilities operations by coordinating maintenance and repair services across client locations. This position serves as the central point of contact for facility-related work requests, ensuring timely dispatch of technicians and vendors, monitoring work order progress through a CMMS platform, and supporting the successful completion of preventive maintenance and corrective repair activities. The ideal candidate has experience in facilities management, maintenance coordination, or service dispatch within a commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch internal technicians and third-party vendors for facility maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance services. Manage incoming facility service requests related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, building systems, appliances, pest control, and other facility infrastructure needs. Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create, assign, track, and close work orders while maintaining accurate service records. Monitor work order status and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities in accordance with service level expectations.Serve as a liaison between facility managers, maintenance technicians, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution. Escalate critical building, equipment, or infrastructure issues that may impact operations, safety, or service delivery. Support preventive maintenance programs by coordinating scheduled inspections, repairs, and recurring maintenance activities. Follow up with vendors and technicians to verify work completion, documentation, and quality of service. Assist in identifying maintenance trends, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve facility reliability and operational efficiency. Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule to support emergency maintenance requests, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications Previous experience in facilities management, maintenance coordination, service dispatch, or building operations required. Strong understanding of facility maintenance trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building systems. Experience working with CMMS software and work order management systems. Manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, or commercial facilities experience preferred. Previous hands-on maintenance or technical trade experience is highly desirable. Ability to prioritize multiple service requests and respond effectively in a fast-paced facilities environment. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact professionally with technicians, vendors, clients, and management teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facility management technology platforms. Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote or hybrid work environment.
