POSITION SUMMARY: Material Planner owns material readiness within an assigned product family, supplier group, production area, or site planning scope in a technology manufacturing environment. The role converts demand, master schedule outputs, production plans, and MRP requirements into material supply actions; manages routine to moderate planning exceptions; coordinates supplier and internal recovery actions; and supports clear-to-build decisions. This level works independently within assigned scope, performs root-cause analysis, recommends recovery and planning-parameter actions, supports KPI performance, and balances production continuity with inventory, working-capital, supplier-risk, and customer-priority requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES: Own daily and weekly material planning execution for assigned scope, including MRP review, purchase order follow-up, shortage prioritization, supplier commitment tracking, and inventory risk review. Analyze MRP exception messages, supply-demand gaps, shortage drivers, supplier delivery changes, lead-time risks, inventory imbalances, and planning-parameter exceptions. Coordinates expedite, defer, cancel, reschedule, or recovery actions with procurement, suppliers, warehouse, logistics, production planning, master scheduling, and manufacturing teams. Resolve routine to moderate material shortages, supplier constraints, inventory exceptions, BOM concerns, sourcing gaps, and master data issues with limited guidance. Support clear-to-build reviews by validating material availability, shortage status, supplier recovery plans, receiving status, staging readiness, and unresolved risk items. Recommend planning-parameter updates, including lead times, safety stock, lot sizes, MOQ, SPQ, reorder points, replenishment settings, and supplier-related planning attributes. Monitor supplier delivery performance, promise-date adherence, shortage recovery actions, and recurring supplier risk patterns; escalate unresolved constraints through approved channels. Track assigned-scope KPI trends, including material availability, shortage reduction, supplier recovery performance, inventory turns, excess exposure, MRP exception closure, planning-parameter accuracy, and master data quality. Support inventory optimization by balancing service, production continuity, working capital, inventory turns, slow-moving inventory, excess exposure, and shortage prevention. Maintain accurate planning records, shortage action logs, supplier commitment updates, inventory risk summaries, and KPI support reports. Participate in shortage reviews, S&OE discussions, production readiness forums, inventory reviews, supplier recovery reviews, and planning governance routines. Support material readiness activities for NPI, engineering changes, product transitions, phase-in/phase-out, make/buy changes, supplier transitions, last time buy, and material disposition. Use ERP/MRP outputs, exception-based planning reports, Excel, Power BI, supplier updates, and inventory analytics to prioritize recovery actions and support fact-based decisions. Lead assigned-scope shortage follow-up by confirming root cause, recovery owner, recovery date, supplier commitment, inventory impact, and escalation requirement. Partner with procurement and operations to review recurring supplier, lead-time, inventory, and planning-parameter issues and recommend corrective actions within assigned scope. Contribute to continuous improvement in MRP exception management, shortage prevention, planning-parameter accuracy, material master data quality, supplier visibility, and reporting effectiveness. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Materials Management, Logistics, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent education and/or experience. Proficient knowledge of MRP, material planning, inventory control, procurement processes, supplier management, BOMs, lead times, supplier commitments, planning master data, production support, and clear-to-build requirements. Ability to interpret system outputs, analyze shortage causes, summarize business impacts, recommend recovery actions, and communicate risks to operational stakeholders. Proficient understanding of high-mix manufacturing, constrained supply, complex BOM structures, long lead-time components, inventory trade-offs, supplier recovery, and clear-to-build readiness. Strong Excel capability required; experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP IBP, Oracle, Power BI, WMS, PLM, SAP MDG, or equivalent tools is preferred. Ability to assess supplier recovery options, inventory risks, planning-parameter exceptions, and lifecycle material impacts within assigned scope. Ability to support KPI performance reviews by interpreting material availability, shortage reduction, supplier recovery, MRP exception closure, inventory exposure, and master data quality indicators. Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in material planning, supply planning, procurement planning, inventory management, production control, manufacturing supply chain, or related planning roles. Experience with MRP execution, supplier follow-up, shortage management, inventory review, purchase order coordination, planning-parameter review, production support, and cross-functional coordination in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience supporting assigned-scope KPI tracking, supplier recovery follow-up, planning-parameter recommendations, and material impact reviews for NPI or engineering changes. Experience in high-mix or complex manufacturing, SAP or equivalent ERP/MRP systems, supplier recovery, inventory optimization, NPI support, engineering change support, Power BI reporting, WMS, PLM, SAP MDG, or process improvement. Experience using exception-based planning, Power BI dashboards, supplier performance data, inventory reports, or clear-to-build analytics to prioritize recovery actions is preferred. APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, CPM, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent certification is preferred. Good Command in English
