POSITION SNAPSHOT Location: Samut Prakan Company: Nestlé Thailand Business Unit/Division: Technical & Production Full Time Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Food Processing, Chemical Processing, Process Engineering, or Capital Project Execution within Food, Dairy, Nutrition, Coffee, or FMCG environments A DAY IN THE LIFE … Deliver assigned engineering activities for food processing projects, from concept development and detailed design through installation, commissioning, start-up, and operational handover. Translate business needs and user requirements into clear technical specifications and fit-for-purpose engineering solutions. Support project planning activities, including scope definition, CAPEX estimation, scheduling, resource planning, and technical risk management. Provide engineering expertise for food processing systems and production equipment, ensuring effective process design, equipment selection, line integration, and performance optimization. Review process flows, layouts, equipment designs, and supplier proposals to ensure hygienic design, maintainability, operational efficiency, and compliance with food manufacturing requirements. Work closely with OEMs, contractors, Procurement, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety teams to achieve project objectives. Act as the technical interface during design reviews, supplier clarification, technical evaluation, factory acceptance testing, installation, and commissioning. Ensure all engineering activities meet agreed requirements for safety, food safety, quality, cost, performance, and project timing. Participate in design and installation risk assessments covering process safety, machinery safety, hygienic engineering, dust control, and explosion prevention where applicable. Lead or support commissioning, start-up, validation, performance verification, and handover activities to ensure that installed solutions achieve the expected capacity, quality, safety, and reliability targets. Ensure that project documentation, operational training, technical records, and lessons learned are completed to support sustainable operational ownership. ARE YOU A FIT? Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, or another related engineering discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in food processing, chemical processing, process engineering, or capital project execution within Food, Dairy, Nutrition, Coffee, or FMCG environments. Good understanding of food manufacturing processes, process flows, hygienic engineering, equipment design, and production line integration. Experience preparing or reviewing user requirements, technical specifications, equipment layouts, process designs, and supplier proposals. Experience working with OEMs, contractors, and engineering suppliers throughout equipment selection, FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, and start-up activities. Knowledge of food safety, process safety, machinery safety, hygienic design, and applicable engineering standards. Strong project coordination, analytical, technical problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills. Able to manage assigned project activities while balancing safety, quality, cost, performance, and timeline requirements. Good communication skills in English and Thai for effective coordination with internal stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and regional teams
