The Project The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance. The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide. The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The Role The Quality Engineer/Advisor is responsible for ensuring that quality management processes and practices are effectively applied to achieve compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards. The role involves providing technical expertise, implementing quality controls, managing inspections and tests, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across projects or operations. The T2D M&E Quality team is seeking experienced Quality Engineers with specialised Mechanical and Electrical expertise. Key Responsabilities Implement and maintain quality management processes in line with the organisation's QMS and ISO 9001 standards. Provide input into the development of quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and other project-specific quality documentation. Conduct inspections and tests to verify compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and relevant standards. Oversee subcontractor and supplier quality processes, ensuring adherence to agreed quality criteria. Manage and record non-conformances, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Plan and conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with the QMS, project requirements, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with project teams to close out audit findings and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate and detailed quality records, including test results, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Prepare regular quality performance reports for project stakeholders and management. Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to address quality-related issues and ensure alignment with project requirements. Act as a technical resource for quality-related matters and provide advice to project teams. Identify and recommend opportunities to improve quality processes, materials, or methods of construction. Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within project teams. Support the identification and mitigation of quality-related risks during project planning and execution. About you Tertiary Qualification / Diplome in Electrical or Mechanical Strong knowledge around Mechanical and Electrical Systems 5 years of experience minimumum in an identical role within the construction industry or in major projects Knolwedge of Quality management processes Skills in monitoring, reviewing, reporting, auditing management procedures and processes, and continuous improvement on performance and compliance Development of Inspection and Test Plans, Inspection and test quality checklist and Work Instructions Understanding or ability to interpret technical specifications We offer Your success is reflected in ours, and as an Alliance we are committed to being an employer of choice here in Adelaide.
