Our mission is to translate groundbreaking scientific knowledge into practical technologies at higher Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs). We design and build systems that exploit quantum mechanical properties and help bring fundamental research closer to real-world applications through testbeds, demonstrators, and product development. What will be your role? In this role, you will work closely with TNO colleagues and researchers/engineers from quantum technology start-ups to develop the next generation of quantum devices. The projects you contribute to are primarily focused on testing quantum devices or developing the high-tech systems required for these applications. You are the specialist who understands quantum devices and knows how the installations required to cool and control them operate, enabling reliable measurements to be performed. Part of your work involves managing a dilution fridge and its associated technical infrastructure, which allows users to characterize quantum devices.
