About this role
As a warehouse employee at DHL, you help sort parcels and make sure each parcel ends up in the right place. Thanks to your work, parcels are sorted on time and delivered to customers. You can start by placing parcels onto the conveyor belt so they can be sorted, or by taking sorted parcels off the belt and placing them in a roll cage. Later, DHL gives you the opportunity to learn and carry out other tasks in the warehouse. Please note: parcels can weigh up to 25 kg. Most parcels are lighter, but heavier parcels sometimes occur. You always lift these together with a colleague. Working Hours - Day shift: 08:00–16:00 - Evening shift: 16:00–00:00 - Intermediate shift: 18:00–02:00 - Night shift: 00:00–08:00 You can work across a maximum of two different shifts. - You are available at least 3 to 4 days per week. - You can lift parcels weighing up to 25 kg, with a colleague’s help for heavier parcels. - You have your own transport (car, bicycle or scooter), or you live within walking distance of the sorting centre. - You speak Dutch or English so you can communicate effectively with your team. - You are at least 18 years old. - You live in or around Dordrecht, Rotterdam, Schiedam or Capelle aan den IJssel.
