Assistant Grower Über diesen Job . AquaFleur We are Aquafleur, a people-oriented and dynamic company specialising in the cultivation of aquarium plants. At our 2.3-hectare nursery, around 60 colleagues work together every day on quality, flexibility and growth. No two days are the same: from monitoring crops and carrying out crop protection activities to working with modern technology and preparing plants for shipment. To ensure the continuity and quality of our cultivation, we are looking for an (Assistant) Grower. What will you do? As an (Assistant) Grower, you are involved in the day-to-day running of our nursery. You monitor the crops closely and ensure that our plants can grow under optimal conditions. Your responsibilities include : - Monitoring crops for diseases, pests and growth problems. - Carrying out integrated pest management (IPM). - Operating the Priva Connext climate and cultivation control system. - Carrying out all general tasks that arise in the nursery. - Planning together with the team and creating space for production. - Preparing location lists for plant shipments. - Collecting plants for sale. What do we expect from you? We are looking for someone who is hands-on, takes responsibility and works well with others. You bring: - A completed horticultural qualification at MBO level or equivalent. - Knowledge of and experience with integrated pest management. - A pesticide application licence, or willingness to obtain one. - Good command of both Dutch and English. - The ability to work both independently and as part of a team. - A precise way of working and the ability to set priorities effectively. - The ability to adapt quickly when the schedule changes. - An affinity with technology and a solution-oriented mindset. - Knowledge of Word and Excel. - Willingness to take part in weekend duty, approximately once every three weeks.
