Ironworker / Structural Fitter - Yacht Building Technical and Metalworking Yacht building, Netherlands (accommodation and transport arranged) Full-time From €800 net per week Job Description For our client, we are looking for experienced and independent Ironworkers / Structural Fitters for work within yacht building. You help build high-quality, luxury yachts. In this role, you are responsible for independently assembling, constructing and mounting various steel structures based on technical drawings. We are looking for genuine craftsmen who can work precisely and understand that within yacht building, quality, dimensional accuracy and finish are of great importance. Experience in yacht building and/or section building is a strong advantage. Duties The work consists of various components: 1. Section building - Independently constructing sections of a yacht from technical drawings - Positioning and assembling various steel parts - Checking dimensions and fit - Tacking construction parts - Preparing constructions so they can subsequently be fully welded by the welders - Checking that the completed work meets the technical drawings and quality requirements 2. Joining sections - Joining already-built sections into one whole - Positioning and aligning construction parts - Ensuring correct dimensions and fit - Carrying out any adjustments needed for construction parts to fit together correctly - Independently checking the completed work 3. Interior and small ironwork In addition, you can be deployed for manufacturing and mounting smaller steel structures, including: - Balustrades - Stairs - Doors - Landings - Frames and supporting structures - Other steel parts within the yacht Requirements - Demonstrable experience as an ironworker, ship's ironworker and/or structural fitter - Experience within yacht building is a strong advantage - Experience with section building is a strong advantage - Able to work independently from technical ...
