BuildingCareersBuildingCareersBuildingCareers Project Engineer Exterior - Amsterdam Location: Amsterdam Hours per week: 40 Salary indication: 75.000 - 100.000 Professional level: HBO/WO Assetmanagement lifecycle: Engineering Design Type employment: Deta-Vast Study area: Maritieme Techniek Introduction Take full technical ownership of the exterior discipline on superyachts built up to 160 metres Function What you will do - Own the engineering scope of the exterior discipline throughout the project, accountable for quality, budget and delivery deadlines within a one-off newbuild environment. - Develop and validate the final design, technical specifications and 3D models for exterior systems, ensuring compliance with Class and Flag requirements before release to production. - Assess design and engineering proposals from suppliers and co-builders for technical soundness and buildability, acting as the final technical authority on exterior solutions. - Coordinate design decisions with engineers from other disciplines to prevent conflicts between systems during the build. - Supervise and develop junior and senior engineers within the exterior team, safeguarding technical quality across the discipline. - Serve as the technical point of contact for the owner's representatives, translating requirements into buildable solutions within time, budget and quality constraints. - Identify recurring engineering issues and drive process improvements to reduce rework and lead time on future projects.
