General Aircraft Cleaning Operative - Shannon Airport Permanent position - €17.18 per hour - 4 nights on, 2 nights off - Variable shift pattern - Full Irish driving licence required We are seeking proactive and reliable General Aircraft Cleaning Operatives to join our team at Shannon Airport. The successful candidate will help deliver high standards of aircraft cleaning and support operational requirements in a fast-paced airport environment. Key Responsibilities: Carry out exterior aircraft cleaning, including wet, dry, hand and technical washes. Clean aircraft surfaces including wings, belly, wheels and other exterior areas. Restock cleaning vehicles and equipment. Complete additional cleaning tasks such as flight deck technical cleans, carpet fitting and carpet shampooing. Assist with de-icing operations during winter periods. Operate airport equipment, including bowsers and cherry pickers/scissor lifts, following training. Support interior aircraft cleaning when required, including cabins, galleys and lavatories. Follow all company procedures and maintain high cleaning standards. Ensure the correct use of PPE and work safely at all times. Contribute positively to the team and support continuous improvement initiatives. Skills and Experience: Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet operational deadlines. Flexible approach to shift work, including weekends and public holidays. Full Irish manual driving licence. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards. Previous aircraft cleaning experience is desirable but not essential. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to undertake relevant training. Requirements: Valid passport or photographic identification. Legal right to work in Ireland. Proof of address. Five years' checkable employment history. Ability to obtain airport security clearance. Commitment to health and safety compliance.
